1 Use the main (West) exit. From the train platform this is towards the REAR of the train (provided you have come from the West End). There are 2 sets of escalators, one from the train platform to the barriers and main ticket hall and the second directly ahead.
2 When you get to the top of the escalator, turn LEFT and head towards the traffic lights and post box. Turn RIGHT at the post box and walk down this street (Heron Quay), You will pass 2 hi rise buildings, in the middle of which is the Heron Quay DLR Station. Keep heading down this street towards the security booth and the Traffic light tree Roundabout.
3 Just past the security booth, to the LEFT is a set of traffic lights, near the Drummonds Pub. You are now on Marsh Wall. CROSS at the traffic lights.
4 Follow the brick path straight ahead and turn left. You are now on Westferry Rd. You will pass a bus stop and the City Pride Pub.
5 CROSS the road at the Pedestrian Crossing in front of the City Pride Pub. Turn LEFT on the other side.
6 Walk down this road for about 3 minutes. You will pass on your right a tennis court, a building called Anchorage and cross Cuba Street. On your left you should see 2 pubs, the first is the Rogue Trader and the second is the Anchor and Hope. The porters lodge is to the slightly past the last pub.
7 (Note The following does not apply for Naxos and Seacon flats) At the porters lodge, use the LEFT hand side entrance gate where you will find the entry system. Dial the number of the flat you are visiting into the panel and press the Bell button. This will ring in the flat you are calling. They will then see you on their video phone and be able to remotely let you into the estate. Signposts are up which show how to get to your building. When you get to the relevant stairwell, press the door buzzer and await your host to open the door remotely for you. Naxos and Seacon visitors should continue down Westferry Rd and turn into Hutchings Street and use the control panel there.
Buses
Buses D7 and D3 stop across the road from the entrance gate. It is the second stop past the Traffic Light Tree roundabout.
Buses 277 from Highbury and Islington and D8 nearest stop is at Canary Wharf . When the bus goes up the ramp into Canary Wharf get off at the first stop. Walk back the way the bus came and cross the road. When you get to the security check point turn left and walk down the side walkway of the building on the corner. There are stairs and a lift at the end of the walkway. At the bottom, keep going in that direction. You will pass the Heron Quay security hut on your left. Cross at the traffic light crossing in front of Drummonds pub and follow step 4 and onwards.
Night Buses
The N50 starts it journey at Trafalgar Square, runs along the Embankment to the City and through Aldgate to Commercial Rd before turning down Westferry Rd and continuing to Beckton. Alternatively the N15 starts at Paddington and goes through the Strand and City,but you will have to get off at the junction of Commercial Rd and West India Dock roads and walk the rest of the way (about 15 minutes)
Ferry Service
http://www.thamesclippers.com/ A ferry service operates from Waterloo to Canary Wharf. A discount can be obtained if you have a valid travel card. From the ferry pier turn right when you exit. Follow this path along the river until you come to a disused pier. Turn left down Cuba Street and then right onto Westferry Rd. The next left is the entrance to the estate opposite the Anchor and Hope pub. Follow steps 7 onwards from above.
Driving
Note, there are only limited Guest parking spaces available. Naxos and Seacon visitors must use the spaces accessed from Hutchings Street. You must park in the allocated space given to you by the porters as you will be clamped and fined if you do not. For a personailised route planner, why not visit the AA at www.the-aa.com or the RAC at www.RAC.co.uk for their specific software. This will depend on the direction you are coming from. Coming from the City, head towards Tower Bridge. Turn left and go onto The Highway (A1203). Follow this until you come to the Limehouse link tunnel. Enter the tunnel and use the LEFT lane.
WARNING! Do not exceed 30mph in this tunnel speed is measured for your whole journey.
Take the FIRST exit on the left. At the traffic lights TURN RIGHT, Do not take the ramp up, but go to the left of it. You will then come to an underground roundabout (Westferry Circus). Take the exit marked A1206 almost directly opposite the side you came in. You will come up a ramp to the Traffic Light Tree roundabout. Take the 3rd exit onto the A1206 (Westferry Rd). There is a sign marked the “The Space” at the entrance.
You will pass 3 pubs on your left. The City Pride, The Rogue Trader and the Anchor and Hope. Just past the last pub on the right is the entrance to the estate. You should see a sign for Millennium Harbour on building (Not for Naxos and Seacon see below). The porters lodge is in the middle. Take the left hand side and the porters should come out. Tell them the name and flat number of the resident you are coming to visit and how long you will be staying. They will then allocate you a parking space either in the forecourt area or in the multi storey car park. Please ensure you park in the space allocated as clampers are in operation. For Naxos and Seacon use Hutchings Road and access the grounds from there.
